Champions League & UEFA-Cup im Free-TV
Freunde des gepflegten Sofasports, aufgepasst! Die Champions League wird ab der nächsten Saison (2009/2010) wieder verstärkt im frei empfangbaren Fernsehen zu sehen sein, dank Sat.1! Der Privatsender aus der ProSiebenSat.1 Media Gruppe darf von 2009 an bis 2012 bis zu 17 wichtige und attraktive Spiele aus der Champions League zeigen. Zusätzlich wurde vereinbart, dass auch 29 Spiele des UEFA-Cups live übertragen werden dürfen.
Europas bester Fußball in Sat.1. Dieses Konzept ist für unseren Konzern eine strategisch wichtige Entscheidung. (Andreas Bartl, Vorstandsmitglied der ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG)
Für uns Fans ist vor an dem Vertrag vor allem ein Detail wichtig. Der Sender darf nämlich jetzt auch Dienstags ein Live-Spiel zeigen, allerdings nur, wenn es 1. das letzte deutsche Team im Wettbewerb ist und 2. die Mannschaft natürlich an einem Dienstag spielt. Genau dieser Punkt ist den meisten Fans in den letzten Jahren immer wieder etwas sauer aufgestoßen. Oft wurde das Spiel mit deutscher Beteiligung nicht im Free-TV gezeigt, dafür aber einen Tag später ein Spiel zwischen einer italienischen und einer englischen Mannschaft.
- Sendetag Champions League: Mittwoch (Ausname: Dienstag)
- Sendetag Uefa-Cup: Donnerstag
- Ãœbertragung Champions League: Premiere (Bezahlfernsehen, 145 Partien), Sat.1 (Free-TV, 17 Partien)
In Zukunft sollen die Spiele dann auch für mobile Endgeräte (Handy, PDA, Laptop…) und über das Internet produziert und ausgestrahlt werden. Das allerdings wird es dann nicht mehr für lau geben…
